Short Post Today.

Advantages of Joining an Alliance-

  • Raiders will think twice about attacking an Alliance member
  • You have allies
  • Some members might send reinforcements to you if you absolutely need it.
  • Disadvantages of Joining an Alliance-

  • You might get caught up in huge Alliance wars
  • You might have to go to war with another alliance, whether you really want to or not
  • If you are the founder and have the highest level embassy, guess who is getting the first wave of catapults?
  • It makes you a smaller target for raiders, but a bigger target for enemy alliance members
  • Although there are more disadvantages than advantages, you will get attacked much less, and you will have allies. It evens itself out. So in a short conclusion, it is in most cases better to join an alliance.

    Travian Journal-
I’m working on upgrading all my resource fields to boost my economy.
I’m also upgrading my cranny more and more until I can get 2 Level 10 Crannies.
So yeah…. not too much going on.

So here’s what has been going on in my Travian adventure. I got a level 5 crop field, and I’m happy about that. I am going to upgrade my cranny to lvl 10 as soon as possible because there are some really big raiders in my area…. but for the most part they haven’t been getting any resources out of me, thanks to my amazing spending-resources-as-soon-as-I-get-them ability. As long as I keep my resources under 2/3 of my cranny capacity, not even a Teuton can steal them!

  • Travian Daily Checklist-
  • __1. Wake up, spend resources on new buildings, resource upgrades, or troops
__2. Send out raiding party and raid every farm in your area
__3. Go to Work/School, when you get back, do the same as you did when you first woke up
__4. Keep raiding until you have enough resources to upgrade your resource fields and buildings

Basically if you do that basic stuff each day, you’ll be a powerful player in no time.

Tips on how to stop getting farmed, and how to stop getting attacked, Travian Journal January 11, 2009

    If you are being farmed…

  • Always remember that if there is a big raider in your area, that they could care less about your “tiny” (as it seems to them) village, however, they do care about your resources. So all you have to do is upgrade your cranny as much as you can! Then, they won’t get any resources out of it! Then, they won’t see a point in attacking you, and then they will more on to some other village. It worked for me!
  • If your raider is constantly attacking you 24/7 and you can’t seem to build up enough resources to upgrade your cranny before your raider steals them, then it might be a good idea to send a message to them politely asking them to stop. If its absolutely necessary, then send them some resources as a tribute. Whatever you do, don’t cuss out/insult/piss off/taunt your attacker. I’ve seen too many people go down this road to destruction. If you do this, your attacker will only increase how often the attacks are and size of the attacks. A lot of players who have this happening them will delete their account and start a new one because it is so frustrating to put up with.
  • Tips on how to stop getting attacked…

  • Join an alliance! Players will be less likely to attack an alliance member because they don’t know exactly how tough the other members are.
  • Same tip as above, make it not worth it to attack you. If they aren’t getting anything out of raiding you, they’ll move along to another village.
  • Intimidate them. Build a wall, and make sure you have a scout or two in your city. Also get a huge population. (You can do this by increasing your main building to level 10, its a very cheap to way to get population). Whether you have any troops in your village or not, it will look like you do. And no one will be able to tell, because your scout will kill any other scouts who try and scout your village!
  • And now, for the Travian Journal. This is a short paragraph explaining what is going on in my 7×7 and in my Travian game, and it might be able to give you some advice sooner or later.
So today, my 25% production bonus from the gold I had at the beginning ended :( and so I have less production of everything. I was going to start training a few soldiers so I could raid the inactive villages around me, but I decided that I should upgrade my resource buildings. I’ll start building an army after a few more resource buildings get upgraded.
